Simmons is a very athletic signal-caller, capable of making plays in or out of the pocket. However,his future might be as a defensive back. Simmon's size, speed and ball skills make him a formittable cover corner. While he is still a developing talent, we wouldn't be surprised if Simmons turns a few heads this fall.

When one witnesses the shear power, foot speed and expert usage of this young man's hands as a Right Guard on the offensive line, it's only natural to wonder why he isn't utilizing those same talents on the defensive side. While Keith does have the ability to play the aggressor at times when the scheme dictates, he is more useful, and quite successfully, as one of the key persons through which the offense runs the vast majority of its plays. The fact that Keith isn't the starting Quarterback or lead Running Back for the Bryan Vikings is immaterial. What IS of vital importance is the fact that the coaching staff has recognized this young man's ability to "move the pile" as well as "pull" for the ensuing play. These two key attributes, of which there are many more, has left no doubt in the minds of his coaches for whom their offensive strategy should be built around: Keith Marcellous Lewis.
